Kakori Kand

                                                                Kakori Kand.
                                          A heist that  make any Indian Proud.
         (Please read till the end and don't skip it.You might really appreciate that you read it.)

• In this world,nothing is good,nothing is bad.Everything is nothing and nothing is everything.
•  If you kill someone,you are a criminal and a killer.But if you do the same killing as a solider,you are an Honorable soldier and get an award.        
• If you go out and ask money for yourself-It is begging......If we collect it for others-it is called Fund.
• If you spy on others,You are a Peeping Tom.If you do it for your country-Then you are a "SPY"
• If you destroy and boycott something-You are against the nation.If you do so for the independence of the country-Then you are an Krantikari(Revolutionary/Freedom Fighter).

What you do and your intentions are what matters most....

******Mahatma Ghandhi was an non-violence activist..but not the only freedom fighter around.For India's Independence,violence acts such as getting shot by Britishers and yet facing them all alone was also necessary.Nobody can measure wether violence or non violence had greater impact on our Independence.******

******In the honour of revolutionary chapters-Let's visit one of the lesser know case of them .In 1857,revolution had taken a angry face as "Chapekar Brother's" killing of "Lieutenant Ayerst V Rend". In 1922,State of Bihar ,Chaura Chori Kand came into being as marchers burned down the police station killing 22-23 police officers.At that time,Mahatma Gandhi angered by this violence act suspended the anti violence satyagrah causing a wave of sadness in the country.This answer to this sadness began in Kakori Kand.******

******The Hindustan Republic Association(HRA) situated in North India(established 1923 by Sachindranath Sanyalek) was very active.The members of the organization were self funded by looting and killing only rich Indian businessman and other wealthy but Indian people.Ram Prasad Bismil was the head of this HRA and was against this lotting.He was the ideology that freedom fighting should be in right way.And so they decided only to loot the Birtish Goverment Money.*******

*******Sahajapur,was the meeting spot of the HRA,where they decided to loot the railway train holding with British Money passing from sahajapr,lucknow districk,U.P.  Ashfaq Ullah Khan an Revolutionary against this lotting,which was actually a good thing.The reason was he said by this heist,they were directly challenging the British Goverment and this would lead to eventually lead to the beginning of the end of the HRA.....but nobody listened to him.

This was all an adrenaline rush movement and everything was decided and voted a yes by the members.

The Heist Begins

9th August,1925:According to planning,one revolutinary pulled the emergency stop chain inside the compartment.As soon as the train stopped,every other member of HRA boarded the train.All British valuables were looted from the train and no passenger was either harmed and nor looted.But mistakenly one bullet shot an passenger and he died.

Total loot was ₹4601(Equivalent to Thousand Crores Something in today's world.)

                                                          The Aftermath.

Britishers started capturing the revolutionaries behind the act.Only 10 members of HRA were in the heist,but based on suspicion,40 people were arrested.India was in a state of shock.Legendary people like Jawaharlal Nehru,Ghanesh Shankar Vidyarthi met them in jail and assured them they have started preparations for that bail process.But revolutionary wished "Ram Jeeth Malani Govind Vallabh Panth" would fight their case.He was a famous lawyer of that century.But Mr Panth did not took as he did not took any case in less fee.The case lasted 10 months in the Lucknow Court.

The laughing stock is now that to prove that those people are the real culprits of ₹4601 ,British Goverment costed ₹10,00,000 on the case. 1927,6th April:The Court result came into light.The order

The Following People are Setented to be "HANGED TO DEATH"

•   Sachindra Nath Sanyal is to be sentenced to "Kalla Paani" sentence.
• M'mhhamad  Nath Gupt is to  be sentenced to 14 years of prison.
• Others are to be sentenced to 10 years of jail.

******19th December,1927:Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil was hanged to death in Gorakhpur Jail.He was asked his last wish before death.And he replied-"End to the British Empire".

Citizens of gorakpur had taken his dead body on a tour of the city spreading flowers and crying in his honour.*******

*****Ashfaq Ullah Khan was hanged in Faizabad. He carried the holy text"Khurana Sharif(Khuran)" on his shoulders,and walked to the noose like he was going an Hajj pilgrimage.He kissed the hanging noose and said-"My hands have never been dyed with the blood of others and the verdict on me is false.Khuda(God) shall do me justice."

He said-"तंग आकर हम भी उनके जुल्म से बेदाद से , चल दिए सु ऐ अदम जिंदा ने फैज़ाबाद से | "

19th December: His dead body was taken by cart to Sahazapur(the location of HRA).In Lucknow,a man well dressed in suit took the train.He said that I want to see "Shaahid ek Aazam"(The Man who died honorably),After having a last look at his body,he said put the body in coffin again,and he shall come back in some time.That man was none other than Chandrashekar Azad.******

******Chandrashekar Azad kept changing dusgises and avoided the British. 1931,27th February;

In Allahabad,Alfred Park while fighting againt British,sacrificed himself with his last bullet instead of dying by their hands.*******

*******Ram Prasad Bismil was appointed a weak lawyer-"Lakhxmi Sankar Mishra" so he couldn't win the case.That's why Ram Prasad fought his case by himself.When was was winning the case by saying expert English...the judge asked him-"From which university have you taken the law degree".

He replied(In english)-"Excuse me Sir,A kingmaker doesn't require any degree." ******

******All those who had been caught in Kakori Kand were taken to the court next day..which was the day of "Vasant Panchami".They decided to wear a yellow cap and have a yellow cap and Bismil told the Pandit to write a song on this occasion.The song was "Mere Rang De Basanti Chola".

(This song is actually an remake of the original song  in the movie Bhagat Singh.)

*******Ram Prasad Bismil loved and gazal by Urdu poet Bismil Azima Badi which is as follows-

सरफ़रोशी की तमन्ना अब हमारे दिल में है, देखना है ज़ोर कितना बाज़ु-ए-कातिल में है?
वक्त आने दे बता देंगे तुझे ऐ आस्माँ!हम अभी से क्या बतायें क्या हमारे दिल में है?

एक से करता नहीं क्यों दूसरा कुछ बातचीत,देखता हूँ मैं जिसे वो चुप तेरी महफ़िल में है।
रहबरे-राहे-मुहब्बत! रह न जाना राह में, लज्जते-सेहरा-नवर्दी दूरि-ए-मंजिल में है।

अब न अगले वल्वले हैं और न अरमानों की भीड़,एक मिट जाने की हसरत अब दिले-'बिस्मिल' में है ।
ए शहीद-ए-मुल्को-मिल्लत मैं तेरे ऊपर निसार, अब तेरी हिम्मत का चर्चा गैर की महफ़िल में है।

खींच कर लायी है सब को कत्ल होने की उम्मीद, आशिकों का आज जमघट कूच-ए-कातिल में है।
सरफ़रोशी की तमन्ना अब हमारे दिल में है, देखना है ज़ोर कितना बाज़ु-ए-कातिल में है?

है लिये हथियार दुश्मन ताक में बैठा उधर, और हम तैय्यार हैं सीना लिये अपना इधर।
खून से खेलेंगे होली गर वतन मुश्किल में है, सरफ़रोशी की तमन्ना अब हमारे दिल में है।

हाथ जिनमें हो जुनूँ , कटते नही तलवार से, सर जो उठ जाते हैं वो झुकते नहीं ललकार से,
और भड़केगा जो शोला-सा हमारे दिल में है , सरफ़रोशी की तमन्ना अब हमारे दिल में है।

हम तो निकले ही थे घर से बाँधकर सर पे कफ़न,जाँ हथेली पर लिये लो बढ चले हैं ये कदम।
जिन्दगी तो अपनी महमाँ मौत की महफ़िल में है, सरफ़रोशी की तमन्ना अब हमारे दिल में है।

यूँ खड़ा मकतल में कातिल कह रहा है बार-बार, "क्या तमन्ना-ए-शहादत भी किसी के दिल में है?"
सरफ़रोशी की तमन्ना अब हमारे दिल में है, देखना है ज़ोर कितना बाज़ु-ए-कातिल में है?

दिल में तूफ़ानों की टोली और नसों में इन्कलाब, होश दुश्मन के उड़ा देंगे हमें रोको न आज।
दूर रह पाये जो हमसे दम कहाँ मंज़िल में है ! सरफ़रोशी की तमन्ना अब हमारे दिल में है ।

जिस्म वो क्या जिस्म है जिसमें न हो खूने-जुनूँ, क्या वो तूफाँ से लड़े जो कश्ती-ए-साहिल में है।
सरफ़रोशी की तमन्ना अब हमारे दिल में है । देखना है ज़ोर कितना बाज़ु-ए-कातिल में है ??

And he always sang this gazal(First 2 lines) and teased the British police officers in an sense saying they were mighty ones.******

Due to many such freedom fighters,We can enjoy 72 years of Independence day today.
