                                                     Rockets                             There are approximately "132.46 crores" people in our country India.                             Out of those 95.6 % of the people celebrate the festival "Diwali".                                                     (shame on those unlucky 4.4%) First something about Diwali.It's an Hindu festival(in name only though,every religion celebrates it,which is a good thing) Now all of us have at least seen or fired a small Diwali rocket.Some might even have launched the legendary 12 at once rockets too.Now lets not go off topic there.Even wondered where these rockets originated from? Eh? Eh? Yes? No? Well never mind. That's why I am writing this anyway.    Spices                                           History and Origin of Spices in India Spices have been closely connected to magic, cultural traditions, preservation, medicine and embalming since early human history. Spices were a key component of India's external trade with  Mesopotamia, China, Sumeria, Egypt  and  Arabia  , along with perfumes and textiles - as far back as  7000 years ago  - much before the Greek and Roman civilisations. As can be seen below, spices played a key role in shaping the course of world history. The clove finds a mention in the  Ramayana  - as well as in writings dating back to the  Roman Empire  in the 1 st century AD. Caravans of camels moved regularly from  Calcutta, Goa  and the  Orient  in ancient times to transport these spices to distant destinations such as  Carthage, Alexandria  and  Rome  . While these spices are readily available today, there was a time when people risked their lives to gain access to  Indian spices . Fro

Indianism Part 1

Today let's learn why I decided about the blog name "Indianism". According to Me, Indianism means-a word or idiom characteristic of Indian's English Accent . It all started when our Honourable communication skills sir-Mr Shrad  Tiwari, took our lecture about Indianism. His idea about indianism and his lecture motivated me about this blog. These are some phrases or words we Indians use mostly,but seems an abrupt  attempt to speak English to native speakers.Be Sure to avoid them. Well then,Lets see some Indianism shall we? 1. Cutting -Well i started with this one since its the most common one used. Cutting can mean anything from cutting a piece of paper or something else.But here in India,Cutting is literally used in different sense. Cutting here when said to chai-wala(Local Roadside Tea/Coffee Vendor) is meant to serve tea in small glasses, usually  opposed to the full sized glasses. 2. Time Pass -Time pass might seem common to the native Indians, but to
